If you’re flying straight from the US or Europe to Singapore, it may feel like you didn’t go very far at all at first to Singapore Hotel like Four Season Hotel,Rendezvous Hotel,Shangri-la Hotel,Hotel Jen Orchardgateway and Swissotel The Stamford. It may be the most “non-Asian” of all Asian nations on the mainland. The radio hosts are speaking English, the taxi driver is going to insist that you wear your seatbelt, and prices are as big as they are back home.
But dig a little under the surface and you will find Singapore revealing its charm, variety and ethnic roots. Although Singapore’s island city-state is quite tiny, it has many distinctive neighbourhoods. It can feel like you are visiting several different countries and cultures just by walking between the different districts of Singapore.
From the vibrant and colourful Little India to the charming hipster-like Kampong Glam, to the huge shopping malls along Orchard Road, the amazing posh Marina Bay, the Quays ‘ nightlife, the Colonial District’s lovely colonial houses, and Sentosa Island’s man-made entertainment hub.
Where To Stay In Singapore
Whether you’re searching for a luxury Singapore hotel once in a lifetime, a tiny intimate boutique hotel, a mid-range value-for-money hotel or a budget guesthouse, Singapore has a extensive collection of all of them.
However, you must be advised that Singapore is one of Asia’s most expensive cities and has been named the most costly town in the world to live in a row that also represents hotel prices for the fifth year like Four Season Hotel,Rendezvous Hotel,Shangri-la Hotel,Hotel Jen Orchardgateway and Swissotel The Stamford. That said, we’re going to reveal some good value options for your money in this guide so you don’t have to panic.
It’s also the only significant town we’ve encountered landing at the airport to be informed that all the hotels in the town are completely occupied and no rooms are accessible anywhere! Fortunately, it turned out to be a slight exaggeration, but a enormous meeting of dentists was taking place and every significant hotel was complete in Four Season Hotel,Rendezvous Hotel,Shangri-la Hotel,Hotel Jen Orchardgateway and Swissotel The Stamford. We managed to discover a place to stay at the end, but when we visited Singapore we had to pay much more than we had budgeted, and since then we have always booked ahead.
Most of the hotels suggested in this article are locations we stayed at. In this guide, none of the hotels are paid placements or have in any manner sponsored our visit.
Four Seasons Hotel
The Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, currently ranked no.2 of all Singapore hotel (almost 400) on TripAdvisor, is one of the city’s finest hotels. Great service, excellent food (two restaurants and a lobby bar), lovely rooms, a well-equipped gym and a stunning and relaxing swimming pool area on the 20th floor of the rooftop floor. They also have a tennis court indoor and outdoor.
It is located right in the middle of everything at Orchard Road. So by staying at the Four Seasons Hotel, you will have a short walking distance to all the shopping, cinemas, cafes, and restaurants in the main shopping area of Singapore. From here you have easy access to taxi/ Grab car and MRT/ trains so you can easily get around the rest of Singapore. It is one of Singapore’s finest and most luxurious Singapore hotel.
Shangri-la Hotel
The luxurious Singapore Hotel Shangri-La Hotel is perfectly located at the west end of Orchard Road, right in the center of all Singapore’s incredible shopping possibilities. This hotel genuinely makes you feel like a queen or king with its world-class friendly service.
The hotel has an amazing six hectares of tropical gardens with a swimming pool, a tiny waterfall pond, galore orchids, and lots of palm trees. Three distinct wings are available to choose from. If you stay in one of the rooms in the bungalow villa styled oasis Garden Wing, it is like staying at a resort. The Tower Wing has newly renovated rooms each with a unique theme. During the 2018 summit with North Korea’s leader, the American president decided to remain at Shangri-La.
Hotel Jen Orchardgateway
This hotel has an infinity swimming pool! Must be one of Singapore’s finest! It is huge and located on the rooftop with an excellent view of Singapore Skyline. And it is open until 23:00, so it is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or a swim under the stars. There is a lifeguard on duty by the pool, and there are three pools including a children’s pool.
The location of Jen Orchardgateway Hotel is ideal Singapore Hotel, within the Orchard Gateway Mall on Orchard Rd, which also houses the convenient MRT Somerset Station (the reception is on the 10th floor). You can just bring the elevator down and you’re right in the center of all the restaurants and stores that Orchard Gateway, Orchard Central and 313 Somerset have to give.
Right behind the hotel is a road lined with comfortable and inexpensive restaurants called Killiney Rd, all from delicious Indians, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Malaysians.
The rooms are huge, comfortable and modern, and we couldn’t hear anything from our neighbours or the morning cleaning employees. Fast internet, free of charge. And the hotel even has a robot!), (the adorable Jeno that provides food for room service, etc.
Rendezvous Singapore Hotel
With an outstanding place just across the highway from Bencoolen MRT Station and a side street from Singapore’s National Museum, the Rendezvous Hotel was a beneficial surprise for us.
It’s a great ancient hotel that was incredible when it was fresh and in its prime time. Now it’s a bit old, but with large spacious and clean rooms and large toilets, it’s a great value for your cash. They upgraded the televisions, so in our space we had a large flatscreen Samsung TV.
In the hotel’s cellar there are some restaurants and cafes, as well as a 7-Eleven, and a food court in the Foodrepublic with lots of great and inexpensive food just across the highway, which is very convenient. A couple of occasions we had dinner there, and the food was delicious.
As bus no. 36 stops right outside the hotel, it is simple to get to and from the Rendezvous Hotel to Changi Airport. Although the Rendezvous Hotel is not the latest hotel in the city, in a great and otherwise costly place it provides excellent value. The hotel even has a tiny swimming pool on the 3rd floor and a good gym in a beautiful little garden.
Swissotel The Stamford
The Swissotel The Stamford has a ideal place with lots of restaurants next to the Raffles City Market (attached to the hotel stage 3). The MRT is only a few steps (in the same building) from the hotel. We took the MRT from the airport to Swissotel The Stamford and for both of us we paid only S$4, and it took half an hour.
The Swissotel The Stamford 71st floor Bar Rouge offers wonderful views and delicious cocktails. The Cafe Swiss ‘ buffet breakfast and lunch is excellent.
The Swissotel The Stamford rooms are very quiet, even though the hotel is in the center of everything. The room’s free Nespresso and TWG tea is a pleasant bonus, with balconies in most rooms. Ask for one of the freshly renovated rooms. The pool is also great.
