R&F Mall JB is the first overseas project by Hong Kong-listed Guangzhou R&F Properties Co Ltd of China. The development also comprises a 5-star hotel, Grade A office building, a marina garden corridor, a commercial area, a luxury club house and apartments.
Located at the Singapore-Malaysia Custom Immigration Quarantine (CIQ) centre in Johor, the mall has a gross floor area of 800,000 sq ft and a net lettable of 532,000 sq ft.
R&F Mall JB is designed by the same team behind ION Orchard, Singapore, the design exemplifies a perfect blend between the latest trend in shopping mall design and the unique Southeast Asia climate in Malaysia. The unique combination of indoor and outdoor provides a totally different shopping experience for Johorean.
On the other hand, another key highlight of the shopping mall is the launch of the CIQ linked bridge since May 2018, connecting both JB CIQ and R&F Mall JB. No matter rain or shine, day or night, the fully sheltered linked bridge provides a convenient access to both Johorean and Singaporean. With the opening of R&F Mall JB, there will be even more people using the CIQ linked bridge to access to the mall.

6. Upcoming R&F Marina Place
R&F Marina Place – located beside R&F Mall – is set to open in 2019. We’re not sure why there’s a large lighted ‘Singapore’ sign in the background, but we’ll find out once it opens.
While it won’t open this March, we’re definitely excited about what’s coming. The location is confirmed to include a commercial harbour, wine cellars, a 5-star luxury hotel, 4D theatre, yacht clubs and fine-dining restaurants.
7. Upcoming 500-seater opera house
Lovers of orchestras, ballet, international concerts and theatre will be spoilt for choice with the new addition of Johor’s Opera House. The Opera House will be part of the R&F Marina place which is slated to open in 2019.
We don’t have a lineup of the performances yet, but the building’s diamond-edged exterior is making us want to pack our bags and count the days
We have yet to confirm if the restaurants and establishments will be open during the soft opening on 28 Mar, but there’s no harm in trying to sneak a peek.
