Klebang coconut shake is a tourist place in Melaka now, and it does not seem that the craze will quickly end. There are increasing numbers of coconut shake shops around Malacca, but the coconut shake by Klebang was the first to be famous. That’s why the original coconut shake in Melaka was called themselves. It’s also one of Melaka’s top food places.
Klebang Original Coconut Shake is near to Jalan Klebang Besar. The eatery’s coconut shake is regarded one of the delicious beverages produced to counteract the country’s swelling climate. The stall is split into three parts, including opening, blending and serving. The Klebang coconut shake is always full of people and never find it empty.
They had only a stall on the primary highway in the past, selling coconut shake for takeaway, which would cause a huge jam. However, it was a lot of years ago.
You can dine in these days because there are plenty of tables and an enormous parking space. Weekdays are still handy, but they’re really crowded on weekends.
Spacious Carpark for Klebang Coconut Shake
There is an accessible parking area for the Klebang Original Coconut Shake. Many vehicles parked in queue can be accommodated in the big region. It’s an added feature as the car park is right next to the restaurant.
Interior of Klebang Coconut Shake
The open air restaurant’s interior is very casual and comfortable. Visitors can enjoy the cool shakes with a cool head with plastic chairs and tables, whether with friends or relatives.
Delicious Coconut Milkshake
They serve coconut milk shake with excellent sweet taste and flavour. Fresh rubbed coconut is blended with milk forming a dishy combination. To savor the sunset or cool breeze in Melaka, the drink is a delicious and refreshing glass.
There are various kinds of coconut shake here. The standard one is just coconut water mixed together with vanilla ice cream. The special comes with an extra vanilla ice cream scoop on top of the mixed drink.
The shake is delicious. It’s basically an ice-mixed coconut beverage, but it’s all made of coconut. To mix it all together, they bring coconut water, coconut flesh and ice cubes. So, as you go through it with the spoon and straw it is served in, you will taste coconut water and pieces of shredded flesh.
Klebang’s Coconut Shake has to go through tons of coconuts every day and I understand from observation that in a few minutes they’re going through several big boxes of vanilla ice cream. The special coconut shake comes with a complete, generous vanilla ice cream scoop and adds a lot to the shake’s flavour.
Procedure of Making Coconut Milkshake
The place is doing such a brisk company that it is almost like a line of assembly:
- There is a location where the coconuts are opened and prepared – juice / water dried and then the flesh removed by cutting the coconuts in half
- The water and flesh of coconut goes to the mixing station where it is ice mixed with ice and then loaded into a funnel-like machine to churn the mixture into a chilled glass waiting.
- The glasses are then sent to the prep station where a big scoop of vanilla ice cream for the unique edition is either sent out as it is or supplemented.
- The end product is a delicious coconut shake made of almost a whole coconut and it only costs RM 1.70. The unique version with a vanilla ice cream scoop costs RM 2.20–50 cents more and it adds a lot to the taste–giving a creaminess that would normally be associated with the word ‘ shake.’
Others Delicious Food in Klebang Original Coconut Shake
A couple of years ago they also started to serve food such as kuih (e.g. currypuff) and nasi lemak, fried beehoon fried noodles and keropok lekor. Besides, the sambal chili of their nasi lemak is a little sweet and as such it is nicer than the other nasi lemak outside. In addition, they began selling fried chicken to accompany the nasi lemak. I think they knew that individuals on their nasi lemak wanted some meat.
Pantai Klebang Melaka-Other than Klebang coconut shake
After having a cool drink at the Original Klebang Coconut Shake, Pantai Klebang Melaka will be a good choice to visit as they are very near to each other. Pantai Klebang Melaka provides beach picnics, kite flying, a variety of food trucks and coconut shakes as a tourist attraction. Since the first desert-like landscape photograph went viral, photographers and Instagrammers made a beeline to Klebang Sand Dunes two years ago.
Located at the end of the Klebang Peninsula, 15 minutes from Melaka City, these sandy hills are the consequence of ten-year-old land reclamation operations. Beach front developments were abandoned due to stability problems, leaving many piles of sand 10 m to 20 m high, sitting idle on a vacuum soil.
As for the environmental impact, with mangrove forest fish nurseries removed, fish stocks diminished and are no longer financially viable. Reclaiming activities have also deterred turtles from coming ashore to historical nesting grounds now too far inland to reach. Tanjung Bidara Turtle Sanctuary further north provides some hope, but is this enough?
If there is one superficial silver lining to emerge from this debacle, a series of picturesque, pristine white sand dunes will be created.
Piled up 10 to 20 meters high, this strange foreign landscape is situated at the end of the Klebang peninsula. On Google Maps its location still appears in the Straits of Melaka, yet it has has been there long enough for Casuarina trees to have sprouted, long weedy grass to grow, and still pools of algae covered water to have formed.
Its photogenic nature has made Instagrammers and marriage couples popular with the undulating dunes offering incredible picture possibilities, particularly on a clear day when the sky is a bright blue.
