1. Attraction in JB – Gurdwara Sahib Sikh Temple
One of the attraction in JB are Gurdwara Sahib Temple. In Sikh Gurdwara Sahib, Sikh’s most distinctive and exotic heritage in Johor is treasured. Most of the Sikhs were assigned in ancient times to function as police officers and royalty bodyguards. They constructed this temple after obtaining state permission.

2. Sultan Ibrahim Attraction in JB
Sultan Ibrahim Building, overlooking JB’s city centre, was one of the most magnificent structures that blends well with Malay and colonial architecture for attraction in JB. Johor’s former state secretariat building is the Sultan Ibrahim Building. It is situated in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, at Bukit Timbalan. The Japanese army used the building as a fortress during World War II while Johor was under Japanese rule, spying on British Army activities around. The building was officially served up to 2009 as the construction of the state secretariat, the hall of state assembly and the office of the chief minister. It has recently become historic landmarks and before entering the compound, visitors are needed to request approval from the safety guards.

4. Holy Light Church Attraction in JB
Next attraction in JB are Holy Light Church. Holy Light Church is one of the state capital’s oldest churches. It was established by a missionary of the Presbyterian Church of England, Rev John Angus Bethune Cook. This was in 1886 when the missionary arrived at Johor Bahru where he would stay until 1924 when he returned to England and retired after spending most of his life contributing to the Lord’s work.
Cook was able to set up the church from the then Sultan Abu Bakar through his moment in JB, along with some prominent individuals, where the Holy Light Church would be up to the current day. Located alongside Jalan Gertak Merah, the Holy Light Church has remained prominent since the early days of running two services on Sundays, one in English and one in Chinese. This is because in the community there was a big group of Chinese people, most of whom were from the Teochew dialect.
The old church building was constructed using timber and is presently being used as the Youth Hall and used for Chinese worship meetings earlier. It was only in 1952 that the English service at the Holy Light Church became a major offering. Some 50 years later, the English session would move to the premises in Hillville where the church continues to play a significant part in the development of the state’s Christians as well as a living witness to the individuals in the area about Christ’s authority and teachings.

On the tiny hill behind the Wisma Persekutuan Johor Bahru lies an attraction in JB , the distinctive college. It was formed in 1883 and the region was used for coffee plantation before the building, so local people also knew the hill as a “coffee hill.”
The region was used as a hospital by the Japanese army until World War II finished in 1942. The college was reopened later in 1946 and since then SK Ayer Molek had produced many talented and highly accomplished learners who now worked for the state.
