Batu Caves is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor. It takes its name from the Sungai Batu (Stone River), which flows past the hill. It is the tenth limestone hill from Ampang.
It is a 100-year-old temple features idols and statues built inside the main caves and around it. and this temple is considered an important religious landmark by Hindus.
Its main attraction is the large statue of the Hindu God at the entrance, besides a steep 272 climb up its steps to finally view the stunning skyline of the city centre.
