Genting Highlands was founded by Lim Goh Tong, who arrived at the shores of Malaysia from Fujian, in 1937. Born in 1918, Lim was a young man, only a lowly carpenter while he picked up the local Malay language. For the next few years, he dabbled in vegetable farming and petty trading, but eventually involved himself in the scrap metal and heavy machinery business.

Travel from Singapore to Genting Highland Awana Skyway
Awana Skyway is the primary cable car line that begins from Awana Bus Station near Gohtong Jaya town that ends at SkyAvenue on the summit, able to ferry 3,000 people every hour at full capacity.
It is said one of the most convenient ways to reach the peak of from Singapore to Genting Highland Malaysia. The 2.8km ride takes 10 minutes with gondolas that accommodate 10 passengers. Alternatively, you can take a premium glass-bottomed type seats six visitors with a view of ground below.
A one-way ticket for the standard gondola is priced at RM8 per person, but we highly recommend the glass-floor gondola for a more jaw-dropping view of the highlands, which costs RM50 per person.

The Chin Swee Caves Temple is a Taoist temple situated in the most scenic site of Genting Highlands. The Temple attracts many local and foreign devotees from nearby countries like Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and China. It is located on a 28-acre plot of rocky forested land.
One of the temple’s most recognized landmarks is a nine-storey Pagoda. Images of Buddha and thousands of blessing lamps filling here.
